An 1880 chart of the New Jersey shore from the US Coast & Geodetic Survey, covering the coast from Absecon Inlet at Atlantic City down to Cape May, rendered here in deep indigo. It shows the barrier islands and back bays along the western edge, with the inlets named and thousands of soundings marked across the open water. The sheet also carries tables of lighthouses, light vessels, tides, and buoys, and the life-saving stations along the beach are noted. Charts like this one were issued for vessels working the approaches to Atlantic City and Cape May. Unearthed from the NOAA archives and restored by Coast & Horizon's cartographers, meticulously color-corrected. Printed on museum-quality matte paper, 250 gsm archival stock. Comes in 18x24, 24x32, and 30x40, with black, natural wood, or white frames.
