An 1879 chart of the New Jersey shore from the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, covering the coast from Barnegat Inlet down to Absecon Inlet and Atlantic City. It shows the barrier beaches and the bays behind them, including Barnegat Bay, Little Egg Harbor, and Great Bay, with the Mullica River reaching inland on the western side. Thousands of depth soundings are marked offshore, along with three compass roses and printed tables for tides, lighthouses, and life-saving stations. A note on the sheet warns that the bars at the inlets change so often that the buoys were left off the chart entirely. Unearthed from the NOAA archives and restored by Coast & Horizon's cartographers, meticulously color-corrected. Printed on museum-quality matte paper, 250 gsm archival stock. Comes in 18x24, 24x32, and 30x40, with black, natural wood, or white frames.
