A 1906 chart of the natural oyster bars from the Magothy River to Annapolis Roads, from the US Coast & Geodetic Survey. It covers the Anne Arundel County shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, taking in Round Bay, the Severn River, Annapolis, and the points along the bay from Mountain Point down to Tolly Point. The oyster bars are drawn as outlined plots with their names and acreage, and depth curves and a single compass rose are on the sheet, along with a legend explaining the bar boundaries and survey marks. The bars were surveyed by the Maryland Shell Fish Commission so the state could establish the legal boundaries of its natural oyster grounds. Unearthed from the NOAA archives and restored by Coast & Horizon's cartographers, meticulously color-corrected. Printed on museum-quality matte paper, 250 gsm archival stock.
